Dave Ellson
Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S BSc PgC in Small Animal Medicine MRCVS
I graduated from Glasgow vet school in 2007 and moved to Yorkshire to begin my career in a busy small animal practice. Four years later, I moved to Wildbores. I immediately appreciated working in a supportive clinical team where great patient care was the priority. After working at Wildbores for four and a half years, I jumped at the opportunity to become a partner in the practice!
I love the variety of my job and enjoy all aspects from surgery to inpatient care. My absolute favourite part is consulting where I enjoy getting to know my clients and their pets using my skills as an Advanced Practitioner in small animal medicine. A particular interest is canine and feline dentistry and I have recently started studying towards a post graduate qualification in dentistry and oral surgery.
I have two pets at home, Meg- a nutty Border Collie and our cat called Chase who was a stray in need of a home. My wife, Jenny, is also a vet here and we have two boys, Archie and Rhuaridh. To relax and unwind after work, I love running, dog walking and cuddling up on the sofa with my boys for a movie.
