Surgical Lead Nurse

RVN, Registered Veterinary Nurse

Joseph qualified as an RVN in 2016 after training with us through a veterinary nursing apprenticeship via Sheffield City College. After qualifying, he spent 2 years working our night rota to continue overnight care for hospitalised patients and provide emergency care to critical condition cases that could present at any time through the night!

Since qualifying he has gained certificates in Canine and Feline Veterinary Health Nutrition and Small Animal Dental Nursing. He has further interests in anaesthesia, oncology and diagnostic imaging. Joseph currently works as our Surgical Lead Nurse and is responsible for the day to day running of our busy theatre area!

Outside of work he is kept busy by his geriatric rescue dog Bonnie; an affectionate attention seeker who loves long walks out in the peak district…but only when its not cold, dark or wet!
